Giving Thanks

Today I am thankful to be in such a beautiful place with so many friends and family to help and support me. I am thankful to have a roof overhead and food on my plate, and I am thankful for the health and happiness of my loved ones. With so much to be thankful for, the Maui turkey trot at rice park in kula was just one more item on the laundry list of gratitude.

The course overlooked the spectacular bicoastal view of the west Maui mountains from about 3000 feet up the Haleakala volcano. I ended up 2nd in the 8.6 mile run in about 55 minutes, but today was mostly about getting out and having fun. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Rose garden

Not too many roses at this time of year, but there is still a sweet smell to the air in the garden.Rose garden

Continental divide

We just crossed the continental divide. It's all downhill from here! We are up on the high plains of Wyoming and the wind has calmed down. It looks like we are out of the snow for a bit too. I've decided (rebecca) that a drive across the country is something everyone should do in their lifetime. The scenery has been incredible and constantly changing. I'm looking forward to seeing the pacific ocean again.Continental divide
